The colour looks very washed out. Combined with the fact that the dog's face is relatively small in the frame and that there are some distracting elements (particularly the diagonal line and purple / grey patch in the top left), I am afraid that the result makes me think "snapshot" rather than "great photo".

Try greater contrast with a wider dynamic range and closer framing and I think you could get a much better picture.

I think you could also try framing this dog against a darker background, which would make his colouring stand out better.

I agree with Elay. A darker background would look great. I like how one of the ears is pointing up and the other one is bent down. Try masking the dog off the background and changing it darker or blurred.

Nice looking dog,

Picture however needs more contrast (as already suggested).
A different angle of view, eg. at the same height as the dog, and less environment would be nice.
