I keep coming back to this image. For some reason I think its good but I'm not sure if I'm just crazy. Thoughts anyone? Shot taken: 1/400s F4.0 ISO 100 Canon Powershot S2 IS |

the second shadow is putting me off. I like the what the photo is telling me. Looks as if hes contemplating something serious with his chin in his hand. I would have liked to see him a bit more rotated towards the camera maybe ten or 20 degrees more. Jst to see the side of his fac a bit better.
I lik it though...maybe crop or clone that second shadow out.

Thanks, My original post included cropping the shadow, but the res wasn't so friendly for viewing. The Amish are a difficult bunch to photograph, mainly because they dislike their photos taken due to religious reasons. I snapped this one from the hip of the boy who is actually listening to a choir sing in an amphitheater.

abjurina, Welcome
Not a bit crazy, it has a lot of good range from light to dark. The moment of touching the chin is significant. Taken from the back suggests there is more going on than a posed shot. You can learn to look for the other things in fore-and-background, the shot you took is quality. Good eye and fast thinking.
