Default Rock Under Wraps

I lsot this photo on my other laptop and can't post from my ther website directly here but this is the link to it. Sorry guys i know its a hassle going to another site to see it but this was an attempt at desaturating then adding minute tones to it. I like the effect but would love to know what others thing.

Hi pinball. This reminds me of the view we got when we took one of these underwater glassbottom boat tours. The view wasn't as green as yours but gave the same visual effect. Glad you had the title as I am still wondering exactly what you photographed. To be honest, my eye travels throughout the image, trying to take it all in but never staying put in one place. I like the tonal qualities and perhaps it would be great on some other scene. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

I think you did a great job desaturating and then adding new tones. My absolute first impression was that I love the mood created by these colors. After a longer study, I find myself agreeing with clockdoc that it is a bit busy...lots of shapes and lines...but then again if it's more of an abstract pattern you are going for, then it works! I'm glad you left the space at the top to give the rocks a 3 dimensional quality. That space is also filled with wispy grass, a very contrasting shape from the rest of your image...perhaps it would have been effective to include more grass to enhance this contrast and better bring out your rocks as a subject? Just thinking out loud...overall, great tones and mood.

It was actually part of a dilapidated breakwall at a local lake where the river runs into it. It use to be required due to frequent flucuations in the water levels but some rerouting changed all that. I had a shot of it from a distance farther back but then you couldn't see the rock really. I just took it because of all the shadows and highlights that were in the photo.
Thanks for your responses....
