Default A kink in the tracks

Took this one a few days ago, but i'm not really sure i like it.


1/15th sec, F/2.8, ISO 50

What do you guys think?

Railroad tracks are a nice thing to photograph and it works out quite nice in black and white.

In my opinion it has a littlebit to much distracting things in the upper half of the picture where my eyes get drawn to.

You have a good eye for the abstract in this shot. Did you do any other variations such as changing the angle of the shot or cropping it differently? As shown, the dark areas tend to overpower the detail of the tracks. I also keep wondering what is just above the curve at the top as that is where my eye is going.

I like it. I don't feel the bit of structure in the uper left takes my eyes away for more than a split second. There seems to be alot who think shooting tracks or roads from te side is a better way to go but I like the straight up the gut shot. Not that the off center doesn't look nice but wth converging lines I like to have them centered in the shot....I know a major nono in photo to center things. Oh well thats just me...LOL! Great shot on this one steve.
