Love the sunset, great shot. I wonder if it could be better to rid of some of the black space on the bottom, I would give it a try and see how it looks.

If you wanna take a crack at cropping it be my guest, I have no problems with that at all, in fact I would like it. I did a little crop myself but I tried to keep the same ratio so I could blow it up later if I wanted prints for some reason.

Oh and by the way it was a sunrise lol.

Very nice Superhero! The Golden Hour strikes again and shows us why its worth getting out of bed so early. I agree compositionally it could be slightly improved with less black below, but if thats how you shot it then so be it. It still makes for a really nice shot. Well done.

Can you share your technique? For example, did you meter from the sky then recompose to ensure silhouette or did you take the blacks down during post?

thanks thingy, I metered for the sky, but still didn't get it exactly how I wanted so I tweaked a little bit, gotta love post production.

I just love the little photography community here where I am too, there were like 3 or four other people taking pics, wit dslr's.
