I'm not sure what to say other than the yellow crane looks lovely set against the blue sky and clouds. Shooting dead on the pillars and wall of the concrete project with the available lighting seems lifeless and flat for me, but it does communicate what is happening below the crane (with it's nice strong diagonal arm)

My modest suggestion would be to shoot the project from a 60/40 corner angle later in the day when the contrast would be better.

You caught my attention: we watched some constuction Downtown Tuesday, including some piledriving of corner supports. Definitely difficult to capture that sense of size and power. This is good lighting and framing, and as uvsub describes, would stand out more if you were to the left or right, giving the scene more dimensions.
