I quite like the composition. Although I think the horizon is a tiny bit off straight and the shot could benefit from some more contrast as the greys are very similar as is.

I've thought about this some more than usual. Aside from the horizon issue, I think that I would have liked a little more detail (light) on the fisherman. It's a great shot and captures very well the kind of daydreaming that takes place when the fish aren't being stupid.

wijew,

The benefit of a doubt says that there's a curving shore over there, because it is too good of a photograph for the level to be off. You don't miss that small a detail, normally. With six various Flickr awards it also may just not be a consideration for all the qualities it does have, including the overcast softness and shadowed look. Very well done.

I wasn't sure if it was too gray... The light wasn't too good because it was very overcast. I like the shot. I'm glad others do too!!! thanks.
