Default I Like this Bird of Paradise

The fact that this was taken 27 years ago does not diminish my affection for it. Before I get too proud, I thought I'd ask what you folks think about it. Yes I know about the white spots in the upper right that need to be cloned out, but other than that ......?

Farkled,

I think you should be proud...this is a beauty! Such lovely lighting really adds subtle drama. Stunning bold colors against a perfect background...the fact that the background is not solid black, but contains hints of purple is really effective. The only thing I wondered is whether the top of the flower could use a bit more room away from the edge of the crop. No biggie though.

Thanks for sharing this! Care to share how you set up the shot?

Bought a piece of black cloth, cut s slit to hold the bird and a slit to backlight it and then hung the whole mess against the window with an afternoon sun. My 1st attempt at a set piece photo.
