Yeah, it looks like your flash fired lighting up the foreground with a different light quality to that of your sunrise. Remember to disable any automatic flash features on your camera for these sorts of shots (unless your trying to fill a silhouetted subject). I think its a tiny bit of horizontal so just needs a small alignment adjustment. I would also maybe suggest getting a little closer to the water to fill more of the shot with the sea and your beautiful reflecting sunrise. You have captured some really nice colours there too.

The proportions of the crop are a littlebit strange now.
The picture has a lot of sky which isn't very interesting. Your idea of putting something in the foreground was good, this creates depth. A seagull, fisherman, little boat, rock anything will do.

Yes, sorry if my comments were misleading. When i said to get closer to the sea..I was thinking of a reshoot
I may be 'telling my granny how to suck eggs' (very odd expression that) but I believe sunset/sunrise shots look great with the horizon on the top or bottom third, depending on which is more interesting. If you have lots of reflecting clouds that look amazing then put the horizon on the bottom third. And of course visa versa if you have a great subject in the foreground then put your horizon on the top third. Remember that there will be times when breaking the above 'rules' can produce an absolute winner of a shot so don't feel too tied by them.Having said all of that, I really like the crop here and its now a very nice peaceful and calming image. I could see it mounted in a set of three with the same square crop. G |
