I like the initial affect of this one with the light and dark areas, although I do think the plough appears a little flat against the wall. The only other slight niggle for me is the tight crop on the right side. Otherwise I like the idea, composition and what you have done with it. Can you share with us your settings and any post work done?

I love the lighting -- dark on the left with a bit of detail emerging from the plants, and fairly soft on the main subject area.

If it were me, I might experiment to get more visual separation between the plough, the wall and the foreground sand. I don't know if that would be a matter of more contrast, more saturation or something else, but i find that the plough recedes a bit into the background.

Not sure I would hang this on my wall for the following reasons. There is a little too much black with no shadow detail on the left. While the plants in the wheelbarrow add a little more color, they just don't seem to go with the massive plow. Lastly, did you apply Lomo or some other saturation technique to the scene as a whole? It give the plow a new, pristine finish that typically is not seen in plow shots. Thanks for sharing your work with us.

carl yeoman,

I might lament the loss of one even you had doubts over, but the multitude of "perfect pictures" you have left (some you have gifted DPS with) will ease the loss.

carl yeomans,

You're welcome; if I lost perspective whenever a shot disappointed me, I would have quit long before now. Fortunately, I found there is always someone here who will remind me, "It's only another step in learning, and the joy is in the journey, not the destination." So I hope your views today are varied and terrific!
