Default Rock On

Fuji FP S3100: ISO 64 - f/8 - 1/105sec - 6mm - 10 AM

Translucent quality was a challenge to keep in sunlight. Aiming for simplicity:

jiminyClickit,

Minimalism suits you. Nice job! Good uniform light...the shadows don't detract, rather add the idea of pleasant sun. You have indeed preserved some translucence. Nice bright colors. Good crop...the rock isn't centered...and also nice 'odd' composition: background rock, middle rock, translucent rock. I like it a lot!

Teewinot,

You have made my day, thank you very much. You really pay attention, hunh?

Teewinot,

Giving titles to them can lead to new views and the next idea.

Nicely captured Jim. I like the abstract quality. (I have a huge collection of rocks and crystals all over my house.)

purplepixie,

You and Saralonde have been inspirational, so when I found this in an office drawer (?) I had to do something.

The simplicity of the shot made me think immediately of the "Zen" assignment - it reminds me of a zen garden minus the raked gravel.

Nice shot! I like it very much both for the simplicity and the creative title.
