Default cropping

My personal opinion and may not be what others think but I think it would show off the panther more if it was cropped closer to his shoulders and possibly head. the light on his body is distracting from his facial features.

Hi Mischa,
I think you came up with a nice record shot of the panther at the zoo. Tonal range is good as you were able to hold sufficient shadow detail in the darker side of his face. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Mischa,

Getting the eye larger in the photo by cropping as windrider86 suggests would make this one very good portrait. There isn't enough b/g to keep for interest, and that's a great face shot.

Thanks for the reply's.

Is this better? Don't want to crop it too tight.

Mischa,

Nice kitty. It looks like a portrait now of one terrific beast. The eyes are important in animals too. You did well.
