Default Lone Ball

I was walking around my yard taking pictures of things, and I saw this lone red kickball just sitting in a bunch of leaves. Please tell me what you think.

Lone Ball

This is the same picture that I photoshopped in an earlier thread.

I like the position of the ball in the picture (or maybe a little higher or lower), but the red ball looks kind of pale pink in my monitor. I think if it was bright red it would stand out much better.
Kind of has a "waiting for the kids to come back" look.

To my monitor it looks pink too. What I like is contrast in soft colors of the pink, and the dry leaves. Take a look onto the little branches around the ball, and what they look like.

That is not your monitors, it is the actual color of the ball. It has been sitting in my yard for longer than I can remember. I could always mess around with the color in photoshop if need be.

Like the first two posters, I see the ball as a faded pink. I think it'd look a lot better as a bright red. The leaves then would have more color as well. If you don't want to adjust the colors though for the sake of accuracy, might you consider increasing the brightness or the contrast? Right now it looks a little bland, but with a little photoshop work it would be a very cool shot! You might also go for the square format, chopping off the standing branches on the left side.
