I caught this Blue Heron hunting for dinner.

Can't imagine how it could be any better. Centered is fine, good DOF, even lighting, framed well in foliage. Maybe get him to hold a fish? Beautiful shot.

Wonderful capture! I'm with Jiminy on this one...only thing to make it better, actually even more interesting...catch him with a fish in his mouth or, maybe in flight!

Very Good. I can't see where any improvements can be made-save perhaps getting it to hold a fish in its mouth, whilst flying through a hoop and whilstling the national anthem backwards

The post processing seems like it has a tad too much contrast (some of the highlights are burnt) and the blacks seem to have crept in

It could be related to the time of the day you took it, the lighting could have been too harsh

I did adjust the exposure some and may have increased the contrast and/or shadows (I don't remember exactly). Maybe I over did it a bit.
