Nice job of capturing the fireworks during your 20 second exposure at f/16. You must have had several bursts go off during that time. Any lessons learned you can share with the rest of us regarding this technique?

Wink

It was actually pretty simple. All I did was set up my tripod, aim my camera where I knew the bursts would be, and set it to bulb. My camera was set on manual exposure and manual focus. When a burst would go off I locked my remote release, and in between bursts I would put a black sheet of construction paper in front of the lense. The next burst would go off and I remove the construction paper. When I felt the exposure was long enough I would unlock the remote. I have several more I'll post in about a week. Now I have a question for you. Under my name in the thread it says point and shoot, how do I change it to DSLR?

Mat, check out this post on the ranking system. If you want it to change, post more At 50 posts, you become a "digital SLR". And don't forget that in July the more you make posts (as long as they aren't spam, etc) you get more entries into the contest to win a Cam-Pod.
