Default Basketball the hard way.

Shot this today at Marineland. I know there are a lot of things that could make this shot better, but I had a hard time communicating with my model.

I laughed out loud at this one, and the part about communicating with your model. It's a fun shot with good colors and motion capture. Not sure about details of your equipment, but I'd either zoom in more in-camera or crop down some more, because the most interesting stuff is in the middle of the frame and there isn't really much going on at the edges, so I'd say just chop em.

Great shot...I think if you could get the dolhin to hold the ball a little more centered with the writting more in the center it would be alot better!
LOL! I know dolphins are hard headed and very uncooperative. I like it...I always like the photos in pools or blue waters .

Thank you both.

I could have done a lot more cropping, but I liked the water splashing, so I let it be.

Shot it with a Nikon D80, and a 80-200 f/2.8

I got a couple shots thru the glass that came out kinda OK. If you click my smugmug link, and go to the Nature folder, the rest are in the Marineland sub folder.

Got an email from the director of Marineland. She called today, and offered me $200 for that pic, plus 4 more to use on their web site. She said all pics wood be credited to me.

I know most people probably get a lot more than $40 a shot, but to be honest, I wood have gave them to her, just for the recognition.

Plus I scored a season pass for two. I only live 5 miles from there, so I'll be taking a ton of dolphin pics.

I've sold multitudes of baseball shots, and numerous surfing shots to individuals, but this is a first as far as my pics being used commercially.

I have to say it does feel most good.

Thanks
