I was trying out the settings on my Olympus E500. Had it on the auto settings for Fireworks for which it seems to me the shutter speed may be a bit too slow. What are your thoughts

windrider, I'd say it's a matter of personal preference. The drooping of the rays in the first shot, for me, is absolutely wonderful... but perhaps you hoped for the "bang" moment?

If so, the second and third shots both captured that very well. Exposure looks great to me.

I think they turned out well. If you followed the advice given by a local pro, he uses the bulb setting and opens the shutter when he hears the 'launch' of the fireworks. So his images are shot at long exposure times. What was your shutter speed, ISO and f/stop for these shots? for these shots?
