I'd recommend trying to bring the speed up a little more to eliminate the motion blur. Also, a tighter zoom might make it a little more personal. Nadal looks like he's got a great expression on his face.

Nice job, though... these kinds of pictures aren't easy.

Great first attempt! One suggestion that I can give is to include the ball. The first one looks like he is swinging at nothing, and I would include at least the rest of the racquet instead of his shorts. The second one is better because it frames all of him, including his raised hand, but having the ball, I think would have completed the shots "story" if you will. I shoot sports for my campus newspaper and I will go through 100 shots before i get 2 or 3 so this is a GREAT first attempt!

Wow, way to go. Taking pictures of serves in tennis is really hard because of the speed that they come down on the ball. That said, you might watch how high it goes when they serve (if you're not already) and set yourself up so you're looking about a third of the way down with a wide zoom, or 3/4ths with a tighter zoom (to get the face.) Good shots, hope to see more!

Thanks for all the feedback. I could not get any closer since i use a prosumer camera(Power shot s3is) and i was sitting in the stands. But will take all other suggestions and try them out today. Thanks again!
