I don't post much black and white.

This origionally was planned to be an HDR photo but something about it the way it is just couldn't let me change it.

I'm glad you decided not to change it. I like this one the way it is.

I might go back and take this photo as an infared, I think that would look pretty neat.

If your going back, try and get an angle on the tree without the bushes infront (if that is what they are) and maybe from lower down to get more of the base of the tree visible and silhouetted.

I like the idea and the fact you have done this in BW; the foreground seems a bit busy with indistinguishable patchs of light spots. What if you had isolated the subject more from a different viewpoint? That might be very striking with the tree against the sky.

I like the curvature of the horizon. Did you use a wide angle lens for this? Just one note different to everyone elses: it looks to me as if the horizon is slightly tilted (right side is higer than the left, maybe you could correct this.

EDIT: on second thoughts, maybe its just a hill

Ya it just a hill. Only way to fix is to start chopping and I'm not a fan of that. If I took the picture any other way I would end up getting the background of what is behind the tree and then i wouldn't be able to call it alone. Would be more like forest lol.
