Wow indeed! Beautiful picture. I'd crop it a little at the bottom to remove the white bit at lower left hand corner (or prob clone it out). Very good picture. Great job!
Oh and welcome to DPS.

I hope you dont mind, but this is my take on your photo
I cropped a bit of sky out, and water. fiddles with curves make the sky a bit more blue

Flomaster, I just finished a copy of this in CS3 and it an identical version of what you proposed...great minds bla, bla, bla.
Seriously Maxiecat, this is one gorgeous composition! I absolutely love it. You've done a great job here. In formal composition a dead center horizon is suggested as ideal for a shot demonstrating symmetry, and that is what you have here. You do what makes you happy though. Blow this up and put this keeper in a frame. If you are able to access this area again, try shooting the exact scene at dawn or sunset, depending on the direction this faces. You might just get a once in a lifetime shot begging to be sold. PS. How can I get to this place? |

Maxiecat, welcome.
Lovely shot. Absolutely love the reflection in the water. |

I echo everything that has gone before.
One suggestion -- try running a local contrast enhancement, and you may find that you cut down a bit on the "haze" on the background mountains and gets you deeper colour there. I think the most popular way of doing LCE is to run the unsharp mask with very high radius settings (like 50 pixels), a small amount (10-20%) and 0 threshold. Here's a tutorial. EL |

![]() I've cropped it a little, and played with the colours. Do you think its better like this? Comments please. This is Lake Josephine just a short disance from Many Glacier Lodge on the east side of the park. Thanks for all the positive comments so far.
