Default The Welcoming

I was shooting at a garden and I saw this odd looking bird house. I looked kind of creepy. I decided to give it a creepier feel. Like it?

It's actually just one exposure but put through tone mapping via Photomatix.

Good eye for seeing some photographic potential. Is that a car in the background? While it helps separate the birdhouse from the background, perhaps a bit of cloning to disguise its features (wheel) may help. Interesting subject!

It's actually a building in the distance.

Thanks for clarifying that for me. Now that I look at it more closely, the "wheel" on the left doesn't look as much like a wheel as before. 8-)

Thanks for not doing this in BW; I'd really be cross-eyed (come to think of it I got smashed on the weekend...)

Anyhow, I like the gothic feel to this shot; it's creepy. The doll's head pushes it over edge. I like it, you might try it in black and white just to see how this turns out.
