Hey Nick, I really love how in the second one the reflection of you taking the shot repeats and repeats... I also like the softness of the eyes / face behind the makeup thingy... looks all "rouged" out.. rouge... thats the face / girl stuff, right?.. (I don't wear it often!) sime

The first image caught my eye as it appeared the person had 2 right hands. Then I read your description and it clarified someone else was helping with he rmakeup. The second shot has potential. Perhaps if the fingers were not blocking the reflective surface quite so much and the focus were a little better, it may be a stronger image. Shooting into mirrored surfaces can play tricks with focus. The grain from ISO 800 doesn't seem that pronounced to bother me when viewing this.

Yeah, I was having alot of trouble focusing as it was on the long end of the zoom, and good luck with that. It wasnt a posed photograph, so I couldnt really have told her to mover her fingers, and stuff.
As for the first one, I see what you mean with the two right hands lol. I guess i just assumed everyone would know, because I took the picture so thats how I look at it. Thanks for the comments and advice. |
