hehe....I like both, however if I had to choose I would pick the color version. I immediately was drawn to the warm colors especially on the hill to the left. I agree with Jargon about the sky...could you crop some out so it's not as big of a presence in your shot?
Nice job leading the eyes with the railroad tracks. Good catch!

They both have their benefits. Though I think the warm tones in the color version may be more interesting.

Good composition. The monochrome works here because you have a range from near white (surface of the rails) to blacks in the shadows, with plenty of tonal range in between. I agree with earlier comments regarding the cropping of the white part of the sky into more of a landscape format. Nice shot!

Difficult to say with certainty. I normally don't like B&W unless it adds dramatic impact However, the colors in this shot are sufficiently pallid that the B&W tones kind of add interest. For me, it's a toss up with a slight edge to the B&W (can't believe I just said that.)

I say Monochrome. Black and white is and allways will be my favorite.
