Default Painted Bench

One of my first tries at photography other that pictures of my children.....

Odd, well, this photo is giving me a sense of vertigo. I like the placement of the bench but the rotation of the camera just isn't working for me on this one. This is possibly because the bar on the bench is rounded. Personally I think it may be a much better shot if just taken parallel to the ground but otherwise the same placement. Could just be me tho.

I like the texture and the color. I would probably crank up the contrast some.

The lines drawn by the seat and back of the bench are cool, and are the defining feature of the shot. The only thing about this, though, is that they lead your eye directly to the bush in the back, which isn't that interesting. This shot might be improved upon by posing someone or something in that area.

Thanks Seltzer & Googlit. I agree, the horizon makes the photo off center. Also I will try adding someone or something to the bench. Great comments, I appreciate the feedback!
