Default City Skyline at sunset

Okay, this is really my first attempt at this so be gentle. I tweaked the sky color a bit. Do you think I went to far & it looks fake? Is the picture to small to see? I could have downloaded the 1024x382 shot. Oh, by the way, this Madison, Wisconsin for those that are curious as seen from across Lake Monona.

If you think it's too small to see, just link to the original size. I just went to look at it myself.

I can't believe how much Madison has grown (at least it seems that way since I haven't been back in the last 11 years).

Ok, now the picture. I like the way that the capital building stands out, and I think that it adds a definite focal point to the skyline. I do like the overall quality of the shot. One thing though. The shot seems really noisy for being shot at ISO 200. Have you done a lot of post-processing to it?

Overall, I do really like it and I could see it being framed. I think that if the other buildings were much lighter then they would've been competing for attention and the capital wouldn't have stood out as nicely.

Was that gentle enough?

Great Shot! I like how you balanced the light levels. As far as tweaking the sky color too much, it's difficult to say without having seen the original and even then it's a personal call.

I do have to agree that the image is extremely noisy in the original size.

You just had to go & look at the original size, didn't ya! The main problem I had was trying not to blow out the sky & still be able to see the faces of the buildings. So I took this shot at f16 with a shutter speed of 1.3 secs.. I've got other attempts at different shutter speeds & f-stops. This one seemed the best, but maybe I should go back & work with the one least grainy. I did sharpen it also, maybe to much. I didn't check it at 100% after I sharpened. I'll have to remember to do that.

I'm sorry, next time I'll stick to the small size so I can't see if it's grainy lol

I looked at the large size and it looks great to me. And the sky looks perfect, not too much at all.

Nice job Digidave!
