Default Landscape by a newbie

Hello everyone.
Im new to this forum although ive been reading the blog for some time already. First of all i'd like to salute everyone in the community.

So, I wanted to share a landscape pic with you. It's the first one i take using the rules posted on the blog. I know it's still a newbie shot but i hope to make my technique better with the time

Here it is http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1270/...b9bfc155_b.jpg

I tried to have a fore and background as stated in the blog and a point for the eye to rest (the corn leaf on the left) i think i should have used the 2/3 rule though

What do you think of it? what could have been better?

Thanks

I like the image for it dramatic nature.
One tip : keep the horizon level.

Kind regards,

Eddy

josealb, Welcome

It's great to see you following the good information here. Imagine if there was a scarecrow in that field, how much more attention it would get. And often, dropping the horizon would give those clouds more room and attention. By focussing on foreground, the rest of the field loses its detail, and trees are dark and too far away to add much interest. The color of the crop in field is good, and clouds are interesting. Each time I go back to your photo, I still ask, "What should I be seeing here? Why this framing?"
