Nice shot sir! Love the blue against the blue! Was wondering if you could have also taken another shot in which the flower was re-positioned so that the 'stalks' in the centre of the flower (I'm not sure what they're actually called!) were against the sky instead of the petals, which would anyways sort of 'cup' the frame from below? I hope you get the image I'm trying to create here!

Very nice. I really like the tone on tone. I like the square composition and angled stem. I'm not sure I would've done anything differently. Very nice and sunny picture for a cold and rainy day

I like the cool blue look of this shot. When I look at it, it reminds me of laying in a field of flowers and staring up at the sky on a beautiful day.

ashwinvissa,

This is one of a few that had prominent stamen, while this blue one had petals that cupped shorter center. I like your suggestion and will do some like that, especially when they are really showy.

Purse

Nicole,

I'm storing up these (and lots of blue skies) for what is surely coming in a few months. And I had no better background than this.

mdwsta4,

Thanks, it's a better post for having an honest b/g too. I agree with that viewpoint.

Penny,

Ooo, ooo can I use that? I'm running out of titles. Thanks for being here.

kkathy,

Close, more something I used to do when young enough to get up and down without making strange noises. Looking around, I found few blue blooms and no blue b/g's.
