Default Blueberry Picking -Please Critique!!

Okay so we took photos today while blueberry picking, and I would love critiquing on both photos! Feel free to change them up in Photoshop if you think you can bring something out or add to them!

Cute I love the blueberry in the nest in the second picture. If anything I'd say try working with various adjustments to try to emphasize the blueberry more, but still, I like it.

I think your first pic shows a lot of personality. You might want to try a shallower dof when doing a portrait to make the background less noticeable or get in closer to the subject. Cropping and straightening so the trees aren't leaning would be good, too.
Cropping might also help the second shot. I love the little blueberry in the nest instead of an egg, but there may be a few too many leaves on the left.

For the first shot, I think a closer crop might work a little better. Just my opinion.

I am still learning a lot, but wanted to give my two cents worth here
The first photo, I agree about using a lower f number to blur the background and keep the subject in focus. Also, the light washed out the color on his shoulders, maybe a light curves adjustment might help???? I do love how you capture his personality!! Fantastic!
The second photo, again I agree, maybe too many leaves and would love to see deeper colors. I did an edit, first time out on someone else's photo, hope it works ok

I do not have photoshop. I adjusted the light curves a bit, cropped, added a vignette and bumped up the contrast a bit.
I am sure someone with more experience in pp could do better but thought I'd give it a go
