Not a big fan of this one, the image lacks a subject and the sky is not that interesting, raising the question, was HDR required here? Perhaps the row of houses on the left could be made a subject, but all of them need to be included to do this

HDR can be tougher then it looks. First you need to find the right type of image to work on. Unusual skies, interesting buildings, sharp images often work well. I think you have a nice practice image, but it lacks the absorbing subject and sharp quality that would make it hold your attention. You're one step ahead of me; I haven't tried HDR yet.

Haven't really tried HDR yet myself... don't have a program and don't really understand it much. I'll learn sometime. Anyway. You shot looks a bit underexposed, and the houses look blurred. I also agree with the previous posters that there isn't much of a subject. Good try, though.

im so anxious to get into some HDR work. After Trelas shots I think I would be missing out on something if I didint get one good shot in HDR style.
If my iBook and photoshop CS3 suite ever get along I might be able to do something about that!

As noted, a lot of it is in finding the right picture to work with. This one has ended up looking like it was taken with a cheap plastic lens (blur) on quirky film (supersaturated greens but a strangely dull sky). Did you make it from multiple pictures and where they perfectly aligned?

I note that you're from San Antonio, TX... I was there for a short visit a few years back so I know you are spoilt for choice of interesting subjects in that city! I hope you are not feeling too discouraged and that you report back after you have had another go.

It was taken with mulktiple shots but that was back then when I didn't have a tripod, but now I have one and im still trying. I just got it through my head that not everything is meant for HDR lol. Yea it's hard to get a variety of shots here but im trying to find good spots for diff' shots.
