Taken on Independence Pass - 12,000+ elevation and plenty of snow left as of last week.
Only a few minor edits were done - bumped up the contrast a tad, sharpened and HP sharpening, etc. What do you think? What could have been done better here? I think the mountain the stream 'points' too could have been a little more of a focal point but the hill we were on wasn't working too well with that. ![]() As always, click the original for the bigger version.

This shot has fantastic exposure with the sky and the stream both brilliant blue. But i also find that it lacks a clear subject. The other thing that gets me is the lines drawn by the stream and the snow in the bottom left hand corner, just kind of intersect at a random point (what would be really brilliant would be if these 'lines' intersected at the mountain in the distance). But as usual(for me) these things can only be fixed by gong back and reshooting, and for all i know could be impossible with this particular landscape. In summary, me this is a good shot, but not great as it lacks a clear subject. (.....IMHO.....)

Lovely shot! My eyes swim the vivid streams and the snow draws me to the subtle mountains on the horizon. The clouds add that last touch and there is just the right amount of sky. Great color, great light, great composition! Nice one!
