The sky looks weird, as if the glacier is a model that was shot against a white background.

uvsub,

My husband and I are heading your way in a month and your shot is making me really excited! I don't mind the sky...typical mountain clouds. The black and white is nice, but I'm curious about what the color version looks like (if there is one). As is usually a problem with rocky scenes, scale is tricky. However, I think your rocks have sufficient texture to give us an idea of 'bigness'. Nice job and thanks for sharing your shot!

I'd like to see the colour too -- I wonder if it would help us better understand the wind/cloud effects at the peak, and am interested to see whether you got blue tones in the ice.

I give up... I tried to post the colour version by pasting the medium sized flickr in the upload here and it says it's too big.

Thanks for the comments though.

Hmmm...I wonder why it didn't work?? Did you copy the HTML of the medium version directly into the text box of your post? If so, there shouldn't have been a problem. Never give up! We want to see more of your shots!

i hate this forum already. it looked as if i had posted the same reply 5 times so i deleted one of the instances and therefore it deleted them all. so to give you the short version of what i'd said:

- more contrast
- crop from the bottom )undulating line is distracting(
- great photo
- the above are just suggestions

keep it up and sorry i don't have the energy to rewrite...
