Default Aspen Falls

Aspen

This was taken during last week's Ride the Rockies event, with over 2000 bikers touring around some of colorado's finest areas. I was hired and working there as a photographer and 'computer guy' for proofing and selling photos on site.

I took this while my coworkers and i tooled around aspen during what little free time we had. What do you guys think?

I love it!

The light reflections on the road to the left give it extra oomph.

Very nice work! The low angle separates it from hundreds of other shots of the same fountain. Did you do a little HDR work here?

Thank you - While we were wandering around in the area, I must have seen at least 10 people taking the typical snapshot there... I may do a full write up on how i took it and edited it in the appropriate section later, but for now I'll add a bit to this.

There was no HDR work done here - The fountains were moving a bit too fast to get a proper bracket that would have minor ghosting in the blend of exposures.

I did quite a bit of work on the shot - The original was great but not 'print-worthy' if you know what i mean. I cloned out several distractions, did some color overlays, High Pass sharpening, a tiny bit of lucis, and a lot of fine tuning.
