Default White flecks or noise?

31 Dic. 06

Can anyone tell me what's all that white flecks?... is that noise? something happened to the film?...

I used a Canon EOS Rebel GII 35mm.

first thing I'd check to see is if the specks are on the film itself. If it is, check to see if it's on the surface or in the emulsion. That's easier to determine by holding the film nearly edge-wise to your eye so you can see light reflecting off the surface.

That's something I've not seen before, and it doesn't look like it'd be grain. Is it on all the pictures on that roll, or just that one?

it's a lovely picture. And though it certainly looks interesting, it's a shame that happened to it.

Is it possible it could be pollen in the air? Another thing that it could possibly be is that small particles of lint and/or dust go into the camera body.

I think it could be pollen only for the fact it is not inside all the bright red sections. As if it is being blown across and around. Or am I the only one that sees that?

If lint got in the camera body, the flecks would be showing up black, not white, as they would be preventing light from hitting the film.

I wonder... was the film past its expiration date when you had it developed? I'm not sure how it acts after expiration, but I know it doesn't act properly.
