Default Candle light & porcelain angel.

Got another photo for critiquing here. As usual, don't hold back. Cheers!

I think you have two separate pictures here, one of the angel that has the potential to show some nice "split" lighting technique, and an over exposed shot of a decorative candle. You can probably learn quite a bit about lighting if you concntrate on studying how the candle light is falling on the angel. Use other light sources as well such as a desk lamp, flashlight or window light and note the effect. Use cardboard to block the light source from the image and you will be on the right track.

Trying everything, you will gain some good skills quickly. This is evocative of an era when electric light was not known.

Just tilt photo 1 or 2 degrees to the right, for level.
