Not that I'm an expert, seeing that I've only just started taking pictures, but I thought I'd comment on your image..The bits of the tree on the left could be cropped out maybe? They are quite distracting to the eye. Thats the one thing that immediately caught my eye! The red car in front adds a nice bit of contrast. Did you do any post-processing on it? I might be mistaken on this entirely, but the building looks a little soft. Did you blur it? Other than this, I like the image!

Hi Archie,
Nice record shot of your old school. Do you have post processing software? If so you may want to try some perspective control on the building so that the vertical lines are upright. To my eye, the car is distracting unless it has special meaning for you. The construction tape can be cloned out if you are feeling like a time-consuming challenge.

My former school is the Oldest university in my country. When I saw the tree and the old car, it would be a good combination.

I use FotoCanvas and Photoshop elements 5. I'm a photography enthusiast since I was 18(I'm 28 now) but not continuos (I stopped for 3 years), and I just started learning image editing just this March 2007.

Thanks! i will try to edit the picture.
