Default solitude

i've messed a little bit with the saturation and contrast on this one. i;ve made it b&w since the beggining because i tought it could bring up more clearly what i wanted to be seen.

Hi Iris,
For a small image you have a lot going on here. The lighter backgroud tends to compete with the more interesting rugged chairs. What were you intending to portray here? There is probably more photographic potential in the textures of the chairs at this point unless you can tone down the wall in the back. I like what you see though. Keep shooting. Try linking to a slightly larger image if possible.

I agree with Clockdoc about it being a bit cluttered. It could be an enormously appealing b&w photograph just using the front chair alone. The peeling paint on the chair give it interesting characteristics.

i know the image it's kinda cluttered, but the fact is that i had to make sure not to include the iron bars of a wall in it. These were in a church garden and i couldn't get inside because it was in the middle of the night. The stone wall behind the chairs is actually a stone bench.

I apologize, but the title "Solitude" messed me all up looking at this image. I didn't see any and was looking for it. I think I thereby missed the whole message.

That name came up instantly when i saw the image. I called it solitude because of the loneliness of the composition, nothing "alive", just static, only dead objects in it. I guess the name came up even after the location where it was made, somewhere in the back of a small church, nothing else there but a place where people could light their candles for the dead and the living.

Loneliness. I think the statement would be much stronger if that the chair in the rear was taken out. It does seem to be a bit distracting. I think that would help a lot.
