Default Ventura Blvd. Sunset...

Looking west(ish) on Ventura Blvd. outside Pickwicks in Woodland Hills. Not exactly how I envisioned the shot. My remote to fire the camera was dead so I was relying on the self-timer. It was a pain in the ass trying to judge the oncoming cars along with a 10 sec. timer. In nearly every shot I tried, tons of cars whizzed by while my camera was counting down, ho hum!

Fureddo,

Much more interesting in early evening, last of sunset still giving sky some interest. Patience is a good thing.

Nice effect and I am happy to see you and others trying different things/techniques. Can you add some layers of light streaks from other shots? I'm not sure why you needed to you the selftimer. Were you afraid of moving the camera? What was your shutter speed? For a long exposure, a little movement over a long exposure may not be that noticeable. What did you envision in your final image?
