Default Lonely Country Road

Info: Handheld, crouching in the center of the road. Shot in JPEG, and I burned the sky in a little using Photoshop. That's it! Nikon D80 of course!

I think I'd crop a lot of the bottom out - Maybe so you have 2/3 sky and 1/3 road? The uneven - ness in the road kind of bugs me - the triangle of gravel at the roadside on the left breaks up the symmetry. Personally, I'd crop above that. I really like the colour, though, and great clouds

Very nice composition. It seems to me, however, that that road is a bit bland and bright in comparison with the sky. Not being particularly good on photoshop, my only suggestion is to select the road and maybe darken it and saturate it a bit more. Acually on second thoughts, maybe someone who knows much more about these things should make some suggestions. Anyway thats just my humble opinion.

JordanM,
Nice capture here. I agree with rdaw about the crop.

Additionally. I would think about removing the tree at the end of the road. I think that would give the road a stronger standing in the photo. I love the clouds, you did a really great job with them. Nice work.

Thanks everyone for the comments.

Dayle: That's exactly how the clouds looked, I simply burned them in a little so they weren't so whited out. Sorry you think it looks unrealistic. :[

the reason i did'nt like the clouds was becoz i thou they never looked natural... i never meant the shape.. but more the burning you did... like i said just moi opinion...
but anyways.. looks like everyone else liked them.. so go with it...

but like the others said, i def. think the pic would look better in landscape by cutting out the road at the bottom....
