Default Bleak

Could my photos get any more depressing? Lonely, Bleak, what's next? Blame it on the weather. In a way, I actually prefer this cloudy, "chilly" weather. Anyone would, if they lived here, at this time of the year.

ISO 100|69.9mm|F4(Av)|1/100s|1/3EV ['Cloudy' WB and 'Vivid']

Adjusted L&C to brighten up the sky.

This is the only shot I could get. They flew away while I was reviewing the shot in the LCD.(D'oh!) Focus is a bit off in the branches/tree in the background, and multi-coloured fringes rule at high-res.

I also invite other suitable title suggestions for this photo. ('Gloomy' just popped in my mind. )

Real interesting picture. You could have probably nailed the focus with another shot, but with birds, you don't always get that 2nd chance.

Still, I like the perspective. Keep up the good work.

P.s. We're headed for a high of about 90 degrees today, with plenty of sunshine. Sorry, but I had to mention it.

I'm assuming you meant Fahrenheit and not Celsius.

Anyway, nice picture! I live the silhouette effect.

I really could have taken another shot...just spent too much time on the LCD, zooming and stuff.

It was sunny in the morning. And the temperature is in the 80-90 range, but the weather is relatively pleasant.

I like this shot quite a bit. It is nicely balanced and composed. You have done well!

underexposed,

As it scrolled down, it looked a little like Japanese brushwork. A good b/w conversion would help.

How about:
- "No, Dear, That Branch Doesn't Make Your Butt Look Big"
- "Jump. I Dare You!"
- "I Hate the Bottom Bunk"
- "Looks Like Rain"

I've been trying to do that with the original photo - this one is scaled. The thing is, I forgot the levels and curves settings used to get this background and the dark foreground.

Those sound good.
