I think it is a nice shot compositionally. If I had to critique it, I would say that the raindrops actually take away from the shot for me. When I usually see macro flower shots with raindrops, they are the sharp and in focus and thus eye-catching. The fact that they are blurred I think causes unnecessary background distractions.

I have no idea if this is just my preference or me just being nitpicky. I think the shot overall is very well done, it's just that the rain doesn't do it for me.

Bo_,

Beautiful shot; I still can't catch a good combination of raindrops and sunlight either. Wonder if you could create your own Sun with a bright lamp held by a helper, moved around until the bright spot was just right in the drops? It would create that "look" of diamonds. Or you could crop in Portrait, saving all the sharp-focus part. Combination of colors is great.

The depth of field looks a bit too shallow. The rear of the flower is not in focus.

Was it something like this diamond look? I have to admit that it was not a bright lamp - it was the sun (and it was a Dahlia and not a Lilly ). We have a flower on the terrace - just outside the door - and my son was playing around with a water gun… so the flower got a shot of water

I also got a little of the look in the Lilly - but not as pronounced as with the Dahlia. And in this picture the DOF is a bit better (but not perfect)...

But I think I have to try the idea with a bright lamp (we are getting a lot af rain right now - so there will be plenty of raindrops to experiment with).
