As I commented on Flickr, I think this one is superb. It is also repaying repeated viewing - I've just noticed the details of the bug's shadow.

Another great critter shot lovely detail. I like the contrast between shiny, hard beetle and soft, silky petals.

Love this shot. Very nice work. Also realised that you don't always need a large f-stop for a macro shot.

Thanks. Just experiment some, after you get the basics. I go by what's in the viewfinder, more than what's considered "correct." Sort of like playing by ear if you aren't so keen on reading music.
