Default Outdoor Studio

Saw this flag while walking around and I knew I wanted to get the studio like effect at the moment. Shot it and processed it and hey, it's an outdoor studio shot of the American flag.

Very nice I love the way that the colours stand out against the black background. You can just see it flapping in the wind. Excellent composition as well.

Wow I was expecting a boring flag shot with lots of distractions and poor perspective but, you did a really good job. I love the contrast of the flag and the black sky. The flag almost looks plastic very sweet. It really looks like this was shot in a studio. The quality of light is very good. The only thing I think may have helped the image a little is the flag pole. i would be nice if you got the pole to be parallel to the border.

Nice work! One of the better flag shots I have seen recently. This may have stock photo potential. You could use this as a backdrop for a portrait. Can you share your post processing details with us?

So I basically shot this across the street from a bank. The sunlight was hitting the flag but the building behind it was in the shade. So that was my opportunity. I exposed it for the flag. Then I went into processing the with strong increase in Blacks. That was pretty much it for this shot. Thanks for checking the photo out guys.
