Greetings, it has been a long time since I posted, been really busy with all that is going on in my country ATM, so not much time for browsing the web, anyway, this is a pic I took at one of our protest rallies.
No photoshop, took it with my cellphone camera (bought me the k800 so I could have a decent camera with me at all times)

Welcome back
![]() First, I'm still amazed at the quality of cell phone cameras. Seriously, it's nuts the good quality of pictures they produce. Now, your actual picture I think it has good colours, and it's sharp, though I wouldn't have thought of it as a flag day (as your title says) or of it being of a protest (it looks more like a parade to me). I think that it's difficult to portray a protest in a picture because a lot of us all seem to associate protests with something violent or picketing signs or something like that. At least that's the sort of thing I usually associate with protests. That being said, I do like the way that the umbrella fills part of the frame though So I do like the composition. I just never would've guessed the subject.

heh, yeah,t hat is kind fo the whole point, we, the students, are out protesting in a very peacefull way, no violence on our side!
And the title is really only accurate if you where there, because almost everyone had a flag, and we marched, all together, like a parade

Thanks for the explanation
I think that sometimes the explanation really helps make the picture
