I like the simplicity of your shot, in addition to the concept presented. Good spacing of the white rocks amongst each other.

Couple of suggestions:
-When I look at the overall composition, I feel that the bottom is cropped too tightly. Those 2 rocks are much closer to the edge than the other 3 are and so the whole framing seems a little off. No need to add more than just a bit of room, but I think that will make a difference.
-You photo really emphasizes uniformity, so that slightly darker area of concrete(?) on the right draws my eye away from the main subjects. Perhaps you could clone/lighten this area?

I've never tried this sort of shot before, so thanks for the inspiration. Nice job!

Very interesting experiment. You held light and dark shadow detail nicely. The odd number of rocks works much better than an even number. Did you try any other variations such as a rock resting on another? The spacing seems a bit too "equal" between most of the rocks. How did you come up with your pattern? Keep working this idea. I like what you have started.

Knowing that's how the rocks were placed makes the shot even more interesting...thanks for sharing this!

Yep, I agree. There is more to a photograph than what meets the eye. Thanks for adding how the rocks got to where they were placed. That makes the photo even more special.
