Interesting macro. Too bad the tip of the flower wasn't just a tad bit sharper as it is so prominent in the foreground of your image. Nice tonal quality. Any post production work here? Thanks for sharing this with us.

UGH, you are so right about the front of the flower. i cannot beleive i didnt catch that. i guess I was too dam excited about my new lens!

windrider86,

If your subject sits in front of distracting background, it makes sense to get a tight DOF. Here your subject is foreground and background as well. The ability to go shallow is not always beneficial to the photo. This same shot with detail would be a winner.
