Lightbulb Swan Love

You are loved

Not sure if I have posted this before but, I like this shot. It was a mirrored image of one swan with some masking and blending between them.

What a neat idea! I love the effect you've created here. Also the light is great as is the color. Beautiful!

I'm sure the blending was tricky, so I won't nitpick too much, but I did notice the water lines between the necks don't quite match up with the lines outside the necks. More importantly, I feel like the photo needs more room on the top--the crop seems too tight up there given the amount of space on the bottom (but of course don't get rid of those lovely ripples on the bottom to compensate...I'd say add to the top). Adding more to the top would also create a nice 'rule of thirds' composition.

Thanks for sharing!

I spent probably 10 minutes on this image. Some of the ripples don't match up your correct in that. It would take some work with liquidfy to get them to line up. I didn't want to spend a whole lot of time just for a few ripples. Unfortunatly nothing was cropped from the image so if I wanted to add some more to the top I would have to clone which would be tough.

Murtasma,

Only the first few hours of practice are tough. Anything worth doing is worth doing right. Imagine if you couldn't tell us why it doesn't look its best. We'd have to make a comment based on only the merits of your image, without benefit of your explanation that a few ripples aren't worth your time. But that was the first thing I noticed, and I've just spent more time commenting than you did on this image. So

I like it. the color of the feathers against that blueof the water is really nice.
I think jiminy is right though. If this is a shot you really like and than you should want it at its best....maybe go in and play with it a bit more to get it picture "Perfect"
Still a great idea and nice shot.
