I was on my way home and wanted to make use of this lock at my old school.

Excellent compositon and use of the rule of thirds I see nothing wrong with this image I like the old tone to the photo as well.

pma, very telling shot. I like how the photo is divided into thirds and how the background is so blurred. Nice subtle color/lighting as well. Looks like the bars could have been a pinch sharper, but otherwise great job!

Good work in all areas. Good choices in post. Only iffy part: if background is an edit, the edges of shiny lock shank have quite a dark band, especially on large version. Only noticeable if one looks for it.

I think this is a good photo.
I like the contrast that the photo has. On the one part the subject seems very gritty, but the actual shot is very crisp and clean.

I bet that you could make this black and white, add some noise, and increase the contrast and make this look like a completely different image.
