Default Crtique my shot please

I would like the greens to me more prominant but not quite sure how do to do that without giving the rocks a green tint. I'm currently working in Corel Paint Shop Pro. Any tips and comments are very much appreciated!

There are no doubt lots of ways, but for this shot the Orton Effect might do nicely.

Basically you create a copy of your photo as a separate layer, "overexpose" that layer, blur it using Gaussian blur, and then blend down using overlay, multiply or maybe soft light, at your preferred % opacity. Lots of tutorials out there, just search on Orton Effect.

I think this would really bring the green out, and you would also get some softening which would work nicely for your subject.

Does Paint Shop Pro allow you to work with an image split into different layers? If so, you can apply a greenish tint to a new layer and then using a "layer mask" to selectively show or hide it.

Hopefully a more experienced PSP user will be along shortly to give advice.

Default Layers

The whole layer thing has been quite baffling to me. I can crop a picture and paste it on as a new layer but creating a layer, adjusting it and meging them togther has been something I have yet t master.

windrider86,

Stay with it; this photo has much promise to be a good strong image. Patience, practice, prepare to be amazed!
