Great shot wordsmithereens, the eye is drawn straight to the bark strips and twigs in the sun light. Really like the colours and textures. After looking at this picture for a few minuets its made me want to go there and walk down the trail.

Thank you. I took about 150 shots yesterday, and I'm happy that one came out as well as it did - it was worth the trip.. 8-)

Thanks!

That's the reason I took the photo - it grabbed my eye, just as you said. I'm glad I could reproduce what I saw.

Cool

Great shot, I really must have a go at HDR one of these days. Love the mix of light and shadow, stunning! Loved the "Hallowed Ground" shot too!!

John.

Thanks, John. Glad you like the photo. HDR is well worth the effort of lugging around a tripod and the cost of the software. (easyHDR in this case)

Great shot. The light that is breaking through the forest canopy makes for a nice point of interest. I also praticularly like the Seattle vs. Weather II. I like the presence of water, land, and sky in the shot.

Thank you. The Seattle series is growing, but that one is also one of my favorites. We do get some bodacious weather here, though it's mostly moderate. Being on the edge near the water and mountains does that, I guess.
