Default This Bud's for You

Fuji FP S3100 - ISO 100 - f/5 - 1/200 sec. - -1.2 comp. - 6mm - 6:33 PM

Thanks to Yo_Ashnish for much inspiration, and encouragement. Some of her recent subjects led me to this photo. And it's a backlit bucket shot:

Default Yo Jiminy

thanks for the credit , much appreciated! Nice to know I can give back a little of what I have received in abundance from you
Love the composition of your bud and the soft back lighting adds a nice touch! Your flowers always look so happy to me...they must know they are in excellent care when in your presence! You can't fool Mother Nature

The backlighting is very successful - it brings out the rounded form of the bud, ready to burst into life.

Does anyone else think that this is a great title? I so expected a beer, but I know I should have known better .

I like how the back lighting turned out. Very nice shot. Simplistic and elegant.

Folks, Thanks

It has been a good week. You all have caused me to coin a word for Addictionary, an online site full of words to describe something or someone succinctly, and often with some wit. Mine is "Vert-ego," a fear of High Praise, which kicked in after some wonderful people generously posted on Flickr. It's difficult to feel raised up on good comments, because where do you go from there? Pessimistic, hunh? Here's hoping some other subject will be as wonderful as Mother Nature.
